'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for Jan. 18: Chad plays peacekeeper; three women put their sleuthing skills to test

Family feuds intensify and drama continues to escalate on the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Wednesday, Chad (Billy Flynn) becomes aware of the worsening war among families in Salem City. He decides to step in before things get worse and people become hurt.

Spoilers suggest that Chad convenes Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) to talk about what’s happening. Meanwhile, three women will also be interested in the case and conduct their own investigation, driven by their individual motives. Other “Days Of Our Lives” characters who will figure prominently on the Jan. 18 run include Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), JJ (Casey Moss), Abby (Marci Miller), Gabi (Camila Banus), Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and Eric (Greg Vaughan).

TV Guide reports that on Wednesday’s run of “DOOL,” Chad invites Sonny and Dario for a serious discussion. Jennifer, on the other hand, becomes curious when she discovers that JJ is investigating the docks. The “Days Of Our Lives” website posted sneak peek photos of Chad, Jennifer and JJ for the Jan. 18 episode.

Also on Wednesday, Abby and Gabi do some snooping around on their own. Meanwhile, Hope finds herself having to hide from the police.

In the previous episode, Hope woke up and was surprised to see Eric caring for her. He assured her that she’s safe there at his house. When Eric said that he found her on the side of the road, she remembered being chloroformed in prison. She started to ask him for updates about his life when she started to feel unwell again and fainted. Eric headed out to get some supplies, then returned to tend to her wounds. Later, the police appeared on his doorstep.

Elsewhere, Rafe (Galen Gering), Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Paul (Christopher Sean) prepared to ambush Stefano (Joseph Mascolo). However, their plans were foiled when Anna (Leann Hunley) barged in and rushed to an incoming car, accidentally shooting Steve. Marlena (Deidre Hall) tended to Steve while the others lashed out at Anna for letting Stefano get away. Later, however, Rafe felt they got another lead when he spotted a safe deposit key. “Looks like Stefano made his first mistake,” Rafe said. Meanwhile, Paul called Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) to tell her what happened to Steve. Kayla shared this information with Joey (James Lastovic), who urged her to follow Steve to Prague.
