Demi Lovato Denies Dating Rumors with 'One Direction' Niall Horan
"X-Factor" judge, Demi Lovato, is still denying dating rumors between her and One Direction cutie, Niall Horan. The two had finally met up at the last MTV Video Music Awards where both of them got a congratulatory hug from teen queen, Miley Cyrus. Yet, even with "Nemi" trending on Twitter, Demi Lovato stands firm in her answer claiming there is nothing between her and Niall.
British boy band member, Niall Horan, is eyed by a lot of women in and outside of Hollywood. It's no surprise given Niall hails from the popular boy band, One Direction. Despite the hoards of women vying for his attention, Niall Horan has got his eye locked on the one and only, Demi Lovato.
Luckily, Niall doesn't have to work hard to get Demi's attention. In an interview, Demi Lovato shared the same sentiments as Niall and had even called Niall a "cutie patotee." Well, with that out in the open, it took quite a while plus a lot of Skype dates before Miley had allegedly made a "subtle" announcement claiming that the two are "together."
For fans who don't recall the dating history of Demi and Niall, Niall with a busy schedule consisting of world tours had opted to "virtually date" Demi through the wonders of Skype. The online dating continued for quite a while. Twitter then exploded when Niall had sent out a birthday tweet to Demi Lovato containing the words "honey." Instantly, "Nemi" had been the number one trending tweet on Twitter.
So what went down at the VMAs that got "Nemi" fans even more hyperventilated? Well, Miley was spotted hugging Demi Lovato and Niall Horan at separate occasions. A hug would mean nothing at all but given Miley had only chosen to hug Niall and not all the boys plus Demi Lovato points out to one thing alone. Yet, Demi still denies that she and Niall are dating. In an interview with Fox Fall Eco-Casino, Demi Lovato says why.
"There is nothing going on. Niall's my friend. I'm really happy for One Direction and the success that they've had. It just goes to show you how crazy this competition is to making stars and the success that they have. He's a good friend of mine," explained Demi, adding "I'm just focusing on my work right now, and that's pretty much that."
