Demi Lovato Speaks Up on Friendship with Gomez: 'Selena will always be there' [PHOTOS]

Rarely have "Selenators" and "Lovatics" spotted former BFF's, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, together. Still, that doesn't mean Selena and Demi aren't friends anymore. In fact, these two have been making good use of social networking sites to convey their love for one another. In an all-new interview, Demi Lovato even talks about Selena Gomez.

A few weeks back in April, the hash tag "Semi is Unbroken" trended worldwide on Twitter. For those who don't know, "Semi" is the coined name of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato who had been BFF's since their Barney days. However, despite the years of friendship, Demi and Selena have not once been spotted together this year.

Rumours had arisen that the two former Disney stars were feuding because of their popularity. Demi had also taken a shade at Gomez and Taylor Swift in an interview with KDWB Minnesota radio station.

"A lot of celebrities don't open up to their fans. They just tell them what they want to hear. They don't really tell them things that can benefit their lives. They just, you know, maybe flaunt around a boyfriend and sell a couple albums. That's not what my career is about," said Demi.

However, even with all the drama, it's obvious that Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are still friends though not as close as they used to be.

"There's an amount of love that can never, no matter what, be taken away or torn apart, no matter the situation. There are certain people who you will always, always love, so if anything, this just reminded me of how much I truly love her," stated Selena Gomez about Demi Lovato in Seventeen magazine.

Yet, since the beginning of the year, Demi and Selena have shown their support, loyalty and love for each other on Twitter and countless interviews of which include the latest with Demi Lovato.

In an interview with Globo, Demi had to answer fan queries of which included: "Are you and Selena still friends?" What was Demi's reply?

"We grew up together and have known for a long time. Nowadays we're both super busy, but I know she will always be there for me," answered Lovato.

That statement certainly clears up rumours about Demi and Selena no longer being friends. For one, countless speculations and fan-made drama cannot destroy the friendship worked so hard for by Gomez and Selena.
