Demi Moore Smoked 'Something' That Caused Her Convulsion
Hollywood actress Demi Moore was barely conscious and convulsing before her emergency hospitalization earlier this week. According to a 911 recording, a frantic caller said that the actress smoked an "unidentified substance."
Going through a difficult time in her life right now, the 49-year-old actress may have gone too far as she was hospitalized Monday night and is believed to have entered rehab.
"She smoked something. It's not marijuana but it's similar to incense," an unidentified female caller told paramedics, pleading with the operator to send help right away to Moore's home in Beverly Hills.
"She seems to be having convulsions of some sort," the caller said, describing the actress as "barely semi-conscious" and also saying that Demi's body temperature was extremely high.
The recording, which was obtained by TMZ, features the voices of three people, two female and one male.
During the call, the male voice calls out to a person named "Rue" who is possibly Moore's daughter Rumer Willis, to inquire about letting the ambulance pass through the home's gate. The names of any medications mentioned by the callers were redacted from the tape to protect Moore's privacy.
"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health," a representative for the actress said.
"She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends," the representative added.
In November, Moore announced she was ending her marriage to Ashton Kutcher after six years, in the midst of the reports that Kutcher, 33, had been unfaithful.
