‘Destiny’ 1.1.2 Update Introduces Changes To Strikes, Raids, Wepon; Data Miners Hint At Possible Xur Items
The latest “Destiny” blog post from Bungie has featured the full list of patch notes for the 1.1.2 update. There are a couple of changes that some players may want to take note of.
There have been major additions, which were previously explored in detail earlier. But as far as fixes for weapons, developer Bungie has been very mindful of some bugs as well. There are a lot of general fixes related to bugs in ammos, such as in losing or replenishing them. Two weapons, the Pocket Infinity and the 4th Horseman were also fixed. The former fix ensured less failure in edge case conditions while the latter had its stats restored to the original intended values.
Strikes and Raids also received specific fix. In the Cereberus Vae III, the Valus Ta’Aruc’s strength has been reduced by 33%, while the Major combatants in the fight were also reduced. Dust Palace also had both reduced number of Major combatants in the Psion Flayer fight and lowered strength of Psion Flyers’ shields.
As for the raids, there are some minor bug, weapon and display fixes for Vault of Glass. For Crota’s end, Bungie fixed some timing issues, including the Crota to fully stand before a sword attack, the sword lasting for 30 full seconds after being picked up and a despawn fix after killing a sworbearer.
With the “Destiny” 1.1.2 update, it appears that the kind of data mining for Xur items will lessen. In a Reddit conversation, Redditor AsaTehSpider1 revealed that the developers have already found a way to prevent data mining using the 1.1.2 patch. This was also confirmed by infamous Xur tipster Megamanexe4.
But as a last hurrah using what he reports to be unclear data, meaning it can still change as per Bungie’s direction, April 17 will have The Last Word, boot, arm, or helmet engram. In addition, another set of data has shown for three different strikes, namely Askor, Omnigul and Phogoth. The data miners are not saying exactly which one will be the Nightfall for next week. They did have a correct prediction of Sepiks Prime being this week’s Nightfall, so at least there is still that to go by.
A fan has also started comparing what the “Destiny” 1.1.2 update brought. Redditor Dasgoof12 has found that the Terminus area on Venus is now different post-1.1.2 update. In the link here, there are some photos, both from the original thread poster and also those who have explored “Destiny” post-1.1.2 update, showing the difference in areas.
