The Easiest Way to Source All Things Green
Sustainable products on Australian supermarket shelves have more than doubled in the past year. However, green washing - marketing spin deceptively used to sell a product has also increased at the same rate. How can consumers identify what is authentic and sustainable, and not be duped by deceptive green marketing?
Eco-living means we care about our impact on the environment. The most effective way to buy eco and sustainable products is to buy those which have been certified for sustainability credentials.
Aymeric Maudous is the founder of EcoXpo, a two-day sustainability expo to be held on May 12th-13th at the Byron Kennedy Hall at the Entertainment Quarter Fox Studios.
"The products and services we will be showcasing at EcoXpo have all gone through a rigorous screening process to ensure that only certified sustainable products are featured," Aymeric said.
"Buying sustainable products means creating a positive impact through the complete life cycle of the product: from the moment the materials are extracted to make the product, to the way they are shipped and assembled, right down to the final packaging, and life after disposal."
Australia's best eco-friendly exhibitors will be showcasing their wares - from hybrid cars, green technology, building and travel to home, conservation, fair-trade, health and fashion. There will be a range of mouth-watering organic food
and wine stalls available to tuck into.
Engaging eco-living workshops will be held throughout the EcoXpo weekend on sustainable food, recycling, environmental conservation, gardening, eco baby, green living, wellbeing and much more! There'll also be a kids' zone to keep the little ones entertained.
EcoXpo 2012 falls on Mother's Day weekend and to help celebrate Mother Earth, there will be big giveaway eco-prizes to celebrate the 'greenest' mums.
Funds from EcoXpo will go towards the Arcadia International Environmental Film Festival to be held in September 2012. Details can be found here http://www.planbig.com.au/arcadia-international-environmental-film-festival
