Ed Sheeran is super talented, ‘Love Yourself’ singer Justin Bieber says
Justin Bieber has nothing but good words about the “Thinking Out Loud” singer, Ed Sheeran. Co-hosting with Roman Kemp on Capital FM on Thursday, Bieber talked about the co-writer of his recent single “Love Yourself” from his new album “Purpose.”
Kemp asked Bieber how “Love Yourself” came about and how long it took to make the song. The Canadian singer and songwriter "said it was a process."
“Just getting us together, you know in the same room ‘cause we did a lot of it separate,” Bieber said of Sheeran. “He is a good guy, super talented, really good songwriter so just to be able to work with that calibre of songwriter was really, really awesome,” MusicNews.com quoted Bieber.
According to Bieber, he and Sheeran “just go out” and they have a really good friendship. The former boyfriend of Selena Gomez admitted that “Love Yourself” is about his past experiences and ex-girlfriends.
Bieber is set to perform at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola on Dec. 6. This is almost a month after the release of his fourth studio album “Purpose” on Friday, Nov. 13.
“Purpose” has 13 songs, which include collaboration songs with Big Sean, Travis Scott, Halsey and Skrillex and Diplo. The most recent song released from the album is “Love Yourself,” which Bieber co-wrote with Benjamin Levin and Sheeran.
Meanwhile, Sheeran performed at a fundraising concert at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Wednesday with Sean, Nick Jonas, John Legend, Tori Kelly, Andra Day and Miguel, among others. Proceeds of the event will go to the Fund for Progress on Race in America, which supports individuals and organisations that foster understanding and eliminate bias, Just Jared reports.
While Bieber has recently released his fifth studio album, Sheeran has yet to confirm the release date of his third studio album. The “Thinking Out Loud” singer released his debut studio album “+” in 2011 and his second studio album “x” in 2014.
