Emma Watson 'Nude Photo And Video Leak' Used To Spread Malware, Disguised As Trojan
Anyone planning to open a link that states nude photos of Emma Watson best beware. Not only is the link a hoax but it also contains a dangerous malware that is set to destroy computers. The Emma Watson "nude photo and video leak" on Facebook is disguised as a Trojan that could potentially harm computers.
After a number of nude photo leaks of A-list female celebrities hit the web, a number of malware accompanying the links have also gone rampant. The latest is that of Emma Watson's alleged nude photo and video leaks.
For one, there are no nude photos let alone nude videos of the former "Harry Potter" star. Yet, this has not stopped a number of Facebook users from searching and clicking on the link that states: "Emma Watson nudes." Bitfender had warned users that such links contain harmful malware known as Trojans.
"It all starts with a Facebook comment promising to reveal private or leaked videos of Emma Watson. The comments are automatically posted by users infected with the malware. As is the case with many Facebook scams, victims end up as marketers for cyber-crooks. When users click on the malicious links, they are redirected to a salacious YouTube copycat. Future victims are then asked to update their Flash Player to the latest secured version of Video Player, as an error allegedly prevents them from watching the leaked videos of Emma Watson," stated Catalin Cosoi, Bitdefender's chief security strategist, in an exclusive interview with Digital Spy.
To stay safe, simply don't click on links that allegedly lead users to nude photos of the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador. For one, Emma Watson has no nude photo leaks as the earlier threats on her were simply a hoax. These came after Watson spoke up against gender inequality in a UN forum in New York City.
Celebrities that do have naked photo leaks include Jennifer Lawrence, Amber Heard, Rihanna and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The latest leaks now also include male celebrities.
