Emma Watson Onscreen Evolution: From 'Harry Potter' to 'Beauty & the Beast' [PHOTOS]
Fans of Emma Watson are hyped and excited to see the "Harry Potter" star portray Belle of the highly-anticipated remake of "Beauty & the Beast" by Guillermo del Toro. The role of Belle is impeccably perfect for the Lancôme ambassadress.
With the script for "Beauty & the Beast" over and done, the film is soon to shoot this summer. In anticipation for the big reveal, here's a quick peek at the film roles taken on by Watson and how she has evolved from one to the next.
Who could ever forget the role that skyrocketed Emma Watson's career? Watson is known all over the world as "The Brightest Witch of Her Age", Hermione Granger. From being adorable to evolving into a gorgeous actress, it's obvious the magic of "Harry Potter" worked on Watson.
Despite being included in one of the biggest film franchise in the world, Watson became involved in other film projects. The next film apart from "Potter" is "Ballet Shoes" where Watson shows off her dancing skills. The lovely British actress also lent a helping hand to voicing the animated character in "The Tale of Despereaux."
Taking a minor role in "My Week with Marilyn", fans of Emma saw her "snog" an actor obviously not ginger and not Ron Weasley. Watson's smooching session with Eddie Ramayne is nothing compared to her make-out session with Logan Lerman. Emma played the character of Sam in "Perks of Being a Wallflower."
If Emma's "Perks" role was somewhat wild for her "Harry Potter" fans, wait until they see her as Nikki in the upcoming film by Sofia Coppola "Bling Ring." The remake focuses on true events that took place in Hollywood which involves a group of teenagers who snuck into celebrity homes to steal and sell off goods. Watson plays the ring leader, Nikki and sure enough fans are hyped to see her go bad on screen.
"Perks" and "Bling Ring" might show off Emma's affinity to act bad but for "Beauty and the Beast", Watson gets back to her roots as the good girl, playing Belle. Guillermo del Toro is set to direct the remake and news has it that the first draft of the script is finally complete. With the pace going on, sure enough the film is set to shoot by summer.
"We just got the first draft from Andrew Davies, who wrote some BBC Charles Dickens miniseries, to great effect, including two of my favorites of his - "Little Dorritt" and "Bleak House." I love his work. So we just got it. I'm doing a pass myself and then we'll send it to the studio for reactions," stated Del Toro in an interview with The Playlist.
For now, all fans of Emma can do is sit back and wait. The actress in fact is focusing on other things like the Super Bowl which the actress finds pretty amusing based on her latest tweet.
"This is fun! #Superbowl," tweeted Watson.
