Evasi0n 6.1.3 Jailbreak Remains Unreleased, Users Advised Against Hoax Tools
Evasi0n 6.1.3 jailbreak remains unreleased as the evad3rs group maintains it is best to direct efforts at developing a tool to jailbreak iOS 7 instead. Meanwhile, a blog supposedly managed by the evad3rs has recently posted a warning against hoax announcements.
"Today Jailbreak 6.1.3 has been released. We liberate Yours (sic) iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. You can download Jailbreak 6.1.3 with just one click," reads the hoax sample on evad3rs.net.
"Apple released new iOS 6.1.3 for iPhone 4S and others devices. iOS 6.1.3 firmware follows the release of Apple's iOS 6.1.2 update on March 2013 that was issued to bring minor error and bug fixed to iOS 6.1.3. Unfortunately iOS 6.1.3 release is unable to be jailbroken with Evasi0n Jailbreak Tool. Sorry. If you have jailbroken iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.2 - don't update to 6.1.3," the blog entry continues.
The official evasi0n web site, meanwhile, is still headlined by iOS 6.0 up to 6.1.2 jailbreak.
"We are not working on a 6.1.3 jailbreak that would be too much efforts (sic) for a minimal update. We're waiting for a major release," Evad3r Pod2g previously explained on Twitter. It is believed the "major release" being referred to is the iOS 7, which many speculators expect in June.
Meanwhile, a petition for evasi0n 6.1.3 Jailbreak continues to draw signatures from around the world. The petition, which was lodged online by user Lawand Omar, has so far gathered 1,408 supporters. It is not clear whether the evad3rs would consider changing its stance in view of this petition.
On Twitter, some users are spreading the word about the iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak appeal:
can people please sign this for me :( Evasi0n: To release a jailbreak of ios 6.1.3 change.org/petitions/evas...

Message "Today Jailbreak 6.1.3 has been released." is fake. #evasi0nevad3rs.net/2013/05/jailbr... — Evad3rs Jailbreak (@evad3rs_jb) May 4, 2013
"iOS 6.1.3 has been jailbroken technically but it hasn't been released to the public so as to not expose the exploits used to Apple engineers," notes sidhtech.com.
Meanwhile, there are rumours that the release of iOS 7 could be delayed due to dome innovations being recommended by Apple design genius, Jonathan Ive. For now, Apple users hoping for an evasi0n jailbreak can only wait until more solid announcements are made.
