Everything Battlefield 4: Confirmed Fall Release, A 17-Minute Glimpse of What to Expect, and Pre-Order Incentives [TRAILER]
Battlefield 4 is everything you'd expect in a follow-up and more, justifying the long wait and the avid hype that was devoted to it prior to the release of details.
During the event, Electronic Arts finally revealed Battlefield 4 in all its artistic glory, one that's pretty much hard to miss with all the detail involved. The action is tight enough to keep you on your toes, but there are also moments of stealth and exploration, one that should be done carefully, lest you run into an enemy or even aim your gun at an ally.
You have all the details fleshed out, an environment that's yours for the taking, and pretty much a game that you woud be sucked into and get blown away by.
Battlefield 4 has also been reported to be powered by Frostbite 3, according to EuroGamer.
"To be this early in development, and to already be so polished is a huge achievement for the DICE team and reflection of their passion and commitment to driving the franchise forward," said EA executive Patrick Soderlund to EuroGamer. "Today's demo was just the beginning-we have so much more in store."
Digital Trends reports that the game is also hinged highly on its multiplayer campaign, and it works well with the teamwork camaraderie, and the no-man-left-behind attitude that you usually associate with the real army.
17 minutes of shootin' and stealth
Though there are many unofficial leaks that have been released way before the official Battlefield 4 event last Wednesday, EA has now released the official 17 minutes of gameplay trailer, which you can check out here.
The trailer reveals a Fishing in Baku gameplay, where you're first confronted with a life or death situation of disobeying orders or dying via drowning. The trailer then shows the vehicle combats, a shooting spree, air combats (as choppers fired at the heroes on a construction elevator, and amazing graphics to boot.
For the most part, all you'll see is the single-player campaign for the trailer, but from what you do see, it' already evident that work and improvement has been done for this game-a far cry from Battlefield 3.
As you progress, everything just becomes chaotic , with buildings crumbling down, explosions everywhere, and falling debris being the least of your problems, as you find yourself in the crossroads of cutting off the leg of a comrade for survival.
It's the kind of game that supposedly gives a glimpse of battle at its worst, but ultimately gives you a human feel to the situation, confronting you with scenarios that will test your judgment and humanity.
