"Expendables 2" hasn't even hit the theaters yet but there have already been talks of an "Expendables 3". The big catch for the much anticipated third installment would be additional big names to the already star-studded cast. Who among Hollywood's muscular men are sought out for the film?

Producer Avi Lerner's big ball of fury-infested film, "Expendables 2", is set to hit the big screen on August 17. The cast includes the original members Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture and Terry Crews.

New faces added to the bunch include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris and Liam Hemsworth. So what does the sequel hold for fans now? Taken from Internet Movie and Database, the plot is as follows.

"Mr. Church reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck, but when one of their men is murdered on the job. Their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat."

Fans would expect a lot of fist-pumping and ball-busting scenes complete with trigger-happy smashing scenes. Producer Lerner is definitely sure the film will be a hit that talks to produce the third film is already in motion. In fact, Lerner has sought out a few big names for "Expendables 3" which is enough to make people wonder: Who could be better than Chuck Norris?

"We've approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we've got a character in mind for him," explained Lerner. "We're talking to Harrison Ford. [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I'll give you one more name, we've got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters]."

If fans may recall, Nicolas Cage was originally sought out for a role in "Expendables 2" along with Christian Slater, Christopher Lambert and Taylor Lautner. However, with the film already with a release date, it can be said the stint did not push through. For "Expendables 3" however, Lerner is said to be seeking out Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood.

As for Lerner seeking out Clint Eastwood, Eastwood might be a tough cookie to break given the actor did announce having retired from film. Clint's last film would be "Gran Torino". For now, fans should only look forward to "Expendables 2" soon to hit theaters this August.
