"Fallen" series, a young adult love story novel coming from author Lauren Kate, will be adapted into a movie, but unlike the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie adaption, casting has already been officially announced for the novel's main characters Luce Price and Daniel Grigori.

American book reviewer Kirkus has praised "Fallen" series' Southern Gothic environment. The book review describes the young adult novel as "well crafted that readers can easily picture Luce walking among the marshes and crumbling buildings."

Meet Daniel Grigori, a handsome but cold and mysterious boy who captured Lucinda "Luce" Price's attention the first time that she saw him at the Sword & Cross Reform School in Savannah, Ga. Luce, 17, transferred to the reform school after being accused of murdering a boy and catching him on fire.

It was at the reform school that Luce met Daniel whom she is inexplicably drawn to. Though Daniel makes it crystal clear to Luce that he does not want anything to do with her, Luce tries to find out why Daniel is aloof and what secret he hides even if it costs her life.

According to a Deadline report, actor Jeremy Irvine will be portraying Daniel Grigori. The young actor portrayed the lead role in the 2011 Steven Spielberg movie "War Horse."

For the role of Luce Price, actress Addison Timlin will portray the part. The 22-year-old actress appeared in the Showtime series "Californication."

Lotus Entertainment and Mayhem Pictures will reportedly produce the upcoming "Fallen" series' movie adaptation. The IMDb Web site lists Scott Hicks as the film director, Nichole Millard as screenplay writer and Bill Johnson as the executive producer.

No announcement has been made yet on the other actors and actresses to portray the other "Fallen" characters like Cameron "Cam" Briel, Arriane Alter, Pennyweather "Penn" Van Syckle-Lockwood, Gabrielle "Gabbe" Givens and the evil school librarian Sophia Bliss. Release date of the fantasy-romance-thriller film will be in 2014.

Ms Kate's "Fallen" series titles are "Fallen," followed by "Torment," "Passion," "Fallen In Love" and the final novel to the series is called "Rapture." The bestselling young adult fiction author has a fresh supernatural young adult trilogy called "Teardrop" to be released in October 2013.
