‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’: New video explains ‘Harry Potter’ connections
A new promo video of “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” has been released online. The video talks about the connections between the film and the previously released “Harry Potter” movies. Cast members Jude Law (Albus Dumbledore) and Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander) talked about the film revealing some secrets as well.
Will there be some time travel involved in the fight against Grindelwald (Johnny Depp)? A new video that has been released online by Warner Bros. [see below] strongly hints at the possibility of the return of a familiar magical object.
In the movie “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) used magic to travel back in time to help her attend all her extra classes. It was Dumbledore (Richard Harris) who gave her the Time-Turner in that film. Will “Fantastic Beasts 2” explain how the professor got the magical object?
The other big magical object from the “Harry Potter” films is the magic mirror that shows people their deepest desires. That mirror will show Dumbledore’s dark past in the upcoming film.
Then there is the legend of the three brothers. The story about the Deathly Hallows was the central theme for the last two “Harry Potter” films. Grindelwald is the owner of one of these objects- the Elder Wand, which is supposed to be the most powerful wand in the world. Dumbledore may have the cloak of invisibility, which he may give to Newt in the upcoming film.
The video shows Dumbledore saying that he and Grindelwald were more than brothers. Are these two wizards connected to the legends of the Hallows somehow?
It remains to be seen what other connections and secrets will be featured in “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.” The film is set to be released on Nov. 15 in Australia.
