'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 2: Filming at the same pace as 'Titanic'; Cast share experience
“Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2 was filmed at the same Baja Studios where the Oscar winning movie “Titanic” was filmed. The show is doing something that no other “Walking Dead” TV shows have done, by taking the lead characters deep into the sea.
A new video posted on the YouTube channel of AMC shows some of the cast members sharing their experience while filming the TV series. The production crew built the super yacht Abigail on the set, where most of the filming for the next season took place.
Lorenzo James Henrie (Chris Manawa) believes that this is the first TV series to be filming at the Baja Studios. Cliff Curtis (Travis Manawa) said that it was great to be there on the studio and said that he managed to learn a little Spanish while he was there.
Kim Dickens (Madison Cark) said that all the actors of “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2 were staying together and that they “like it like that.”
Ruben Blades (Daniel Salazar) said that the cast members had turned into a family after working together.
Perhaps the highlight of the video is the tour of the Abigail. Cliff said that this was one of the “coolest” sets that he has ever been on. The yacht has several rooms, a dining area and plenty of outdoor space, where the characters will be seen relaxing in the next season.
The yacht belongs to Victor Strand (Colman Domingo), a mysterious character who promised everyone a safe place to hide. The survivors believe that getting on the yacht and heading into the ocean will keep them safe, but the trailers of “Fear the Walking Dead” Season 2 reveal that no place is safe from either the zombies or the rival human groups. The characters were also seen making a trip to the land, so they will not be staying on the yacht for long.
