'Fifty Shades of Grey' Fans Find Dakota Johnson 'Too Mature' for Anastasia Steele Part
Entertainment Weekly finally released an exclusive first look of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey for "Fifty Shades of Grey." While some fans were pleased with the "chemistry" of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, not everyone agreed with Dakota's looks. A number of fans claimed the "Social Network" actress looked a tad bit "old" and "mature" for the part.
Dakota Johnson may have fans ready to support her for the part of Ana. Yet, Dakota also has a handful of haters that claim she's not one inch close to the part of Anastasia Steele. When Entertainment Weekly released the official photos of the "Fifty Shades" stars, the comments poured in - most of which were not at all the pleasant.
"isn't she a little too old to play a college student....with all the beautiful young actresses in hollywood, you would think they would pick one that at least look the part....." stated a user on Hollywood Life, to which another added, "This just made me not want to see it even more! ITS AWFUL! She looks so old and wtf is wrong with her elbow??"
As for the photo of Dakota on EW official website, Dakota tries to copy Ana's iconic look of "chewing her lip" seductively where one commenter claims the look was completely wrong.
"She bites her lip but it's supposed to look innocent and natural. Dakota makes it look the opposite!" states user 50shadesfan, adding, "She doesn't even look innocent biting her lip! I'm sorry but just because she's slim and pale doesn't mean she's Ana Steele. There's so much more to her than that. I hate these photos and it just makes me not want to see the movie even more. They look nothing like the characters in the books, none of the actors do, and Dakota looks so friggin old."
Well, fans may have their say but that hasn't affected Dakota's train of thought as of late. For one, the Anastasia Steele actress is working her butt off to look great onscreen - naked.
"Obviously, I want to look good naked," said Johnson, adding, "I totally understand now why people exercise, because it kind of f-ing feels awesome."
