'Fifty Shades of Grey' Film: Henry Cavill Is Christian Grey [PHOTOS]
Fans of E.L. James best-selling erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey" are dying for any casting news. With Universal Studios still in search of an appropriate director, casting is a long way down the road. However, this doesn't stop fans from commending one actor to the next.
Yet, it seems from all fan polls on the web, there is a winner for the role of Christian Grey. It would be none other than "Man of Steel", Henry Cavill.
A lot of readers of the BDSM-filled novel written by E.L. James highly agree that Cavill play the part of the 27-year old entrepreneur. Surprisingly, Cavill used to be at the number three spot competing for the role of Grey. Last year, Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries" continuously won fan polls while Matt Bomer of "White Collar" followed suit.
Now, Henry Cavill has burst through the ranks and landed at the number one spot. The "Man of Steel" star has become an "official" contender for the role of Grey and has been constantly paired off with "Game of Thrones'" Emilia Clarke as Anastasia Steele. The big question is, would Cavill consent to being in the racy and sexual film?
While Bomer may have said no to the role of Grey, Cavill had admitted he finds it completely interesting to the point where he would consider such a role.
"Whether that happens, that decision will be made at the time it has to be made, it would be a very different kind of thing than Man of Steel," said Henry Cavill in an interview with Details Magazine back in November of 2012.
The statement has given fans a lot to hope for. In fact, a lot of fan fiction writers addicted to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series have been inspired to write with Henry Cavill as their one and only Christian Grey.
Taking into consideration all of Cavill's characteristics namely being 29-years of age, handsome, impeccably ravishing in a suit and brooding, Henry would most definitely be the perfect Christian Grey much to the delight of his impressive fan base. Of course, the last say would always depend on author E.L. James and who ever manage to fill out the spot for the film director.
