January is over and done and February has already begun which of course means it'll only be a little while longer for the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" to hit the screens this year.

With Universal Studios still battling legal issues with their producer, fans' attention is on the actors set to play the lead roles. Rumor has it that Matt Bomer of "White Collar" has spoken up on playing Christian Grey in E.L. James best-selling erotica novel.

A lot of fans are dead set on seeing their protégé Hollywood actors to play the handsome and brooding, Christian Grey. In fact, 2012 was a year of fan polls wherein the winner would be the designated Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. A lot of potential actors and actresses were named on the polls. A few of them include Lucy Hale of "Pretty Little Liars", Kristen Stewart of "Twilight" and Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" for the role of Anastasia Steele.

As for the role of Christian Grey, popular names that made it to the top ten include Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries", Alexander Skarsgard of "True Blood" and Matt Bomer of "White Collar." While both Ian Somerhalder and Alexander Skarsgard were pretty much sure of themselves to getting the role, Bomer had been quite mum about the casting.

All thanks to an interview with Metro UK, Matt Bomer has finally spoken up about the film's casting. Though the answer isn't what fans would expect much out of. Yet, this still counts as one of the very first comments Bomer has made about the erotic role.

"No comment. That's my line on that. But it's very flattering I've got fans who would like to see me in these things," stated Bomer.

Taking to consideration Bomer's sexual preference, the role of Grey isn't that much fitting for the actor despite how hard his fans insist on the role. Still, Matt Bomer is in the top three contenders for the role of Christian Grey as of 2013.

Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer are three potential Hollywood stars who fit the description of Christian Grey. Now, all that's left is for a producer and author E.L. James to make a choice.
