Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" are desperate for news of an official cast for the film adaptation. However, Focus Features and Universal Studios have already announced that casting won't take place any time soon. Of course, fans have been left to their own devices naming potential stars to play the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. One new name included in the mix is U2 singers' Bono, lovely daughter, Eve Hewson.

E.L. James best-selling erotica novel continues to be hyped about despite it being released last year. With a movie set for release by summer of 2014, the number of fans of the BDSM-themed novel has significantly increased. Also, the demand for an announcement for the official cast has been loud and clear.

However, with a director still not found and a script unfinished by Kelly Marcel, a cast is yet to be formed. Still, this has not hindered fans from naming potential Hollywood stars that could fill in the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Leading web polls for the elusive role of Mr Grey is "Vampire Diaries" star, Ian Somerhalder. Following close is "White Collar's" Matt Bomer and "Man of Steel" Henry Cavill. A few other favourites for the role of the 27-year old entrepreneur include Jessie Pavelka, Jensen Ackles, Armie Hammer, Ryan Gosling, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford.

As for the role of Anastasia Steele, Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" is currently in the lead. Just last month, "Gilmore Girls" star, Alexis Bledel was the number one on fan polls. Other few favourites for the role of Ana include Felicity Jones, Nina Dobrev, Lucy Hale and Emma Watson. The names change every month or so and the latest favourite for the role nowadays is Bono's daughter, Eve Hewson.

The up and coming actress has all the physical qualities of Anastasia Steele mentioned in the novels. Hewson has big blue beautiful eyes and is brunette-haired. Apart from that, Eve is 22-years of age making her the perfect actress to play the role of Steele, a virginal college student.

Eve may hail from one of the most well-known musical dynasty but she'll be having tough competition with another musician's daughter for the role. A few "Fifty Shades" fans also love Lily Collins, Phil Collin's daughter, to portray Ana.
