'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Felicity Jones as Anastasia Steele a Returning Favourite [PHOTOS]
Focus Features and Universal Studios are yet to announce an official cast for the upcoming film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." This of course has not stopped fans from naming their countless favourite celebrities fit for the role. In fact, a returning favourite of last year for the role of Anastasia Steele is Felicity Jones.
Late last year, Felicity Jones along with Lucy Hale of "Pretty Little Liars" and Elizabeth Olsen were named the most potential celebs to play Anastasia Steele. However, along the way these three were forgotten as suitable stars for the role and were easily replaced by the strongest contenders Emilia Clarke, Alexis Bledel and Allison Williams.
Yet, with the buzz still on going, fans can't help but recall early favourites for the role of Ana. Felicity Jones is one of them and is up against Melissa Benoist of "Glee" in a few web polls. Unlike Benoist who has yet to talk about the film and the chance of ever starring in it, Felicity had already spoken up about "Fifty Shades of Grey."
"It all depends on the film-maker and script, just like any other job. Anyway, I've heard there's lots of campaigns by fans pushing other brunette actresses but I guess I should thank this person who went to all that trouble," said Jones, adding, "I find that if you know a lot about an actor's personal life then, instinctively, it is harder to believe in the character they are playing."
With a director still to be attached to the production of the film, casting Jones or any other actress for the lead role may obviously take some time. Check out the slideshow to see this brunette beauty returning as a favourite for the role of Anastasia Steele.
