Almost everybody in and out of Hollywood is desperate for the news of an official cast for the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." With Universal Studios and Focus Features working on the film, fans of E.L. James' erotica novel have been waiting on a cast for Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele as well. One worthy name making a lot of buzz for the role of Grey is Ian Somerhalder of "The Vampire Diaries" but rumour has it Ian just might not make the cut. How so?
E.L. James' best-selling BDSM-themed novels continue to gain a lot of hype and popularity. With the film set for release by summer of 2014, fans are patiently waiting on the announcement of a cast. Given a director still hasn't been found casting for the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele may take a while. Of course, "Fifty" fans have been keeping busy by naming potential stars fit for the roles of Christian and Ana.
For the role of Ana, Emilia Clarke, Alexis Bledel, Eve Hewson and Allison Williams are a few of the fan favourites for the role. Other note-worthy actresses include Lucy Hale, Emma Watson, Troian Bellisario, Nina Dobrev and Ashley Greene.
On the other hand, Ian Somerhalder has constantly been beating fan favourites, Henry Cavill and Matt Bomer for the role of Christian Grey. Obviously, Somerhalder is a strong contender for the role but chances are he might not get cast at all. Why? Fans against Somerhalder getting cast may name more than ten reasons.
