NBC's new series, "Hannibal" is getting a lot of attention mainly for its' deliciously intense plot. Of course, other than the main meal, the series' actors are also getting quite the hype with the crowd. Hugh Dancy, who plays special agent Will Graham, is now being eyed as the next Christian Grey for "Fifty Shades of Grey."

For those who haven't heard of Hugh Dancy, Dancy is one of the finest up and coming actors from the UK. Dancy had his first big break with the television series "Trial & Retribution" before hitting the movie scene opposite Anne Hathaway in "Ella Enchanted." Now, Dancy plays the semi-autistic and highly empathic special agent Will Graham in the NBC series, "Hannibal."

Despite the line of women dying to hook-up with Dancy, the British actor is already happily married to "Homeland" actress, Claire Danes. Yet, it would appear that Claire Danes should better get a hold of her man, Hugh Dancy because some women are dying to see this British hunk strip it for a racy film adaptation. Dancy is currently being eyed to play the brooding businessman, Christian Grey for "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Hugh joins the list of British actors eyed for the role next to favourites Henry Cavill, Robert Pattinson, Alex Pettyfer, James McAvoy and Orlando Bloom. Of course, Dancy also has a bit of competition with the strongest contenders for the role of Grey in Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer.

Yet, with Universal Studios and Focus Features still on the look-out for a suitable director, casting let alone auditions would be far off schedule. Fans of Dancy along with other favourites for the role have the whole year to speculate on a likely cast.
