The "Vampire Diaries" star recently engaged in a steamy photo shoot with Butch Hogan. These said photos showcase Ian Somerhalder in revealing shots involving a bath tub and a bed with silk sheets.

Ian Somerhalder has long been a favourite by fans for the role of Christian Grey. Along with Matt Bomer of "White Collar" and Henry Cavill of "Man of Steel", Ian has been one of the strongest contenders. What sets Ian apart from other actors up for the role is his interest in the role. Back in 2012, Somerhalder expressed an interest in playing the lead role of Christian Grey.

"Potentially. I absolutely would be up for that. I have the book and I just started reading it. That would be a pretty incredible thing, and hopefully that could pan out, I think," explained Somerhalde in an interview with Ryan Seacrest back in April 2012, adding, "Yes, beyond the shadow of a doubt I think that would be a phenomenal opportunity!"
