An artist sketch of the famous Christian Grey from "Fifty Shades of Grey" had recently been released on the web. All thanks to this, celebrities such as Alex Pettyfer and Chris Evans had claimed to resemble the drawing that could aid in them nabbing the role. Another name added to the mix that had greatly resembled the sketch as well is none other than Matt Davis.

Blame Dr Faye Skelton from the University of Central Lancashire for the 3D sketch of Christian Grey making waves on the web. Dr Skelton had deemed himself a big fan of author E.L. James' novel, "Fifty Shades" that he had put his professional skills to the test by creating the closest image possible of Christian Grey.

Last summer, Dr Skelton along with a few members of his "Fifty Shaders" created the 3D sketch with the use of Patrick Dempsey's eyes, David Beckham's face shape, and Brad Pitt's jawline. What was the outcome? Well, the 3D sketch turned out to resemble a few Hollywood heartthrobs namely Alex Pettyfer and Chris Evans.

This sketch made fans of "Fifty Shades" start the petition that either Chris or Alex get the role of Christian Grey. Of course, Universal Studios and Focus Features have not folded to the requests of fans. For starters, the production studio is busy searching for a suitable director.

Getting back to the 3D sketch by Dr Skelton, Pettyfer and Evans weren't the only Hollywood hunks that greatly resembled the image. Another Hollywood celebrity said to have striking features as the sketch was none other than Matt Davis.

"Of all the dudes, probably the most well-adapted (and most closely resembling the sketch) is Matt Davis. The actor from 'Legally Blonde' and 'Vampire Diaries' would be a surprisingly good choice for the role, given his previous work and, well, his looks. Cockiness is key here, my dudes. Sure, he may not look like he's going to physically harm you in some weird-sexual way when he has his way with you, but this movie is probably not going to be X-Rated, or even NC-17, so, you know, concessions must be made!" reports MStars News.

Still, even if Matt does resemble Christian Grey, fans of "Fifty" still have their own favourites for the role of which include Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill. Davis has little chance of being the top contender for the role even with his striking resemblance to the 3D sketch done by Dr Skelton.
