Late in the month of February, "Friends with Benefits" star, Mila Kunis expressed interest in the submissive role of Anastasia Steele in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Despite Kunis' enthusiasm for the role, the actress denied all the rumours of being officially cast for the BDSM-themed film. Given the positive results Kunis is getting on fan polls, is backing out early in the game a good idea?

E.L. James and Universal Studios had already announced that casting for the film is still far off schedule. Yet, fans of "Fifty Shades" are desperate for any news on casting that they'd jump on any news about an alleged or rumoured Hollywood star set to be on the film.

29-year old, Mila Kunis, was one of the front-runners for the role of Anastasia Steele. Apart from being one of the top contenders, Kunis was allegedly greatly considered for the role of the 22-year old virginal college student. However, Kunis had flatly denied the casting rumours. In a press conference for "Oz The Great and Powerful", Kunis addressed the case.

"Gosh, this Fifty Shades of Grey thing is just not gonna leave is it?" remarked Kunis sarcastically, adding, "No, you will not see me in Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm so sorry."

To lighten the mood, Kunis' co-star Zach Braff made a humorous comment on the "Fifty Shades" casting case.

"If I could cast a spell I'd cast one on Mila to have her do Fifty Shades of Grey. Maybe this means I can be in it?" stated Zach Braff.

Hopefully, Mila Kunis manages to change her mind about not being in the film adaptation. Apart from Kunis, a few other Hollywood actresses have been eyed to play the role of Anastasia Steele. Currently in the top is "Gilmore Girls" star, Alexis Bledel. "Game of Thrones" star, Emilia Clarke follows in at second place while "Like Crazy" actress, Felicity Jones pushes through at third place.

Other notable names mentioned on quite a few fan polls include "Twilight's" Kristen Stewart, "Harry Potter's" Emma Watson, "The Mortal Instrument's" Lily Collins and "Percy Jackson's" Alexandra Daddario.
