Halfway through July and still no official news from Universal Studios and Focus Features regarding a cast for the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Luckily, a few fans have been keeping tabs on casting rumours of which the latest include Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel. Talk around the grapevine is that Matt and Alexis could be cast as Christian and Ana respectively.

E.L. James has continued to remain mum about casting for the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. For one, fans do know that James' choices for Grey boil down to three actors while only two remain for her choices as Steele. This has led fans to believe that Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel have a high chance of getting cast in the film adaptation.

Ironically, Matt Bomer may be a strong contender for the role but the "White Collar" actor isn't interested in the film. "Fifty" fans may recall Bomer's interview a few months back where he brushed off casting rumours.

"No comment. That's my line on that. But it's very flattering that I've got fans who would like to see me in things," stated Bomer.

On the other hand, Alexis Bledel did express interest in the film though not in a straightforward manner. The "Mad Men" actress did admit to seeing countless fan-made videos of "Fifty Shades" of which she had been chosen as Anastasia Steele.

With the film slated for an August 2014 release, it'll only be a few weeks more before an official cast is revealed. For now, all fans of the erotica novel can do is sit back, relax and wait.
