Vanessa Lachey, best known before for her maiden name Vanessa Minnillo, opened up about having read E.L. James erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Nick Lachey's wife claimed the BDSM-themed novels helped her through pregnancy. Now that Vanessa is no longer pregnant and is once again rocking the sexy bod, does Lachey's wife have what it takes to play the coveted part of Anastasia Steele?

Before Nick Lachey placed a ring on Vanessa's finger, the lovely actress had managed to snag a few hearts. Almost everyone fell in love and lust to Vanessa Minnillo who had graced the covers of countless men's magazine. Vanessa was the epitome of sexy yet innocent-looking which is exactly what Anastasia Steele is all about.

Producers won't have a problem with Vanessa orienting herself with the S&M novels given she's already read all of them. Vanessa Lachey claimed to have read E.L. James novels during her pregnancy which had allegedly helped her through it.

"I was obsessed with the book and read it when I was pregnant," said Lachey in an interview with EnStars back in June, adding, "Fifty Shades got me through my pregnancy. I spent a lot of time just reading, sitting on the couch and went through all those books quickly."

Would Vanessa then consider ever starring for the role as Anastasia Steele?

"Any casting opportunity, I'd be honored. If my blessings would continue into a movie role, of course, I'd love to be a part of that franchise," stated Vanessa.

Of course, even if Vanessa doesn't get the part, Nick's beautiful wife is still "excited" to see who among Hollywood's hottest would land the roles. Yet, if luck would have it, is Vanessa Lachey the most suitable actress for the part of Anastasia Steele?
