A year from today the official film adaptation for "Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to hit theatres. Yet, it looks like the scheduled release won't likely push through given casting let alone auditions for the lead roles have begun. However, following author E.L. James flight from Los Angeles, casting for Christian Grey is expected to commence soon.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" continues to be the most hyped and read books of the year. Since its release late last 2012, sales for the trilogy have been nothing short of astounding. In fact, E.L. James erotica novels have already managed to beat J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" as the fastest-selling paperback of all time. The sales for the novels are sure to increase as soon as the film adaptation hits cinemas by August 2014.

Apart from the film, fans are definitely looking forward to the announcement of an official cast for the film. Countless stars have already been rumoured to be up for the role. With the latest two contenders, Ian Somerhalder and Garrett Hedlund out of the running, fans speculate that the part would go to either Henry Cavill or Matt Bomer.

As for E.L. James, the author hasn't said a word about the cast but some say an official name for the part might soon be disclosed. The author had recently departed Los Angeles following an extended stay at the area. Sources claim the extended trip could be connected to casting while a few claim Jessie Pavelka of "Diet Tribe" has already been awarded the coveted role. Both Jessie and James left the LAX on July 30 with the following tweets.

"At LAX... looking forward to going home and seeing @noghar," stated E.L. James on her Twitter account.

"Leaving LA. A productive and fun trip. I shall see you again soon," tweeted Jessie Pavelka.

With the movie set to film by Fall, could Jessie Pavelka finally be the Christian Grey fans have searched for? Only E.L. James can say. Without proof, this is just another rumour down the mill. James did announce via her Twitter account last July 31 that she has no idea who would be playing the iconic parts for the film adaptation.

"In all honesty - I don't know. :)," said James.
