'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie: Jamie Dornan 'Won Over' Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey
Jamie Dornan of "The Falls" has officially nabbed the part of Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." Quite a lot of fans had expressed joy over the current choice for Grey. In fact, reports claim that even Dakota Johnson had been "won over" by the British actors' charm and good looks.
A day after the final cast announcement for Christian Grey was made; Dakota Johnson was seen out and about strutting her flawless figure at the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund. This would be the first time Dakota has showed off her figure and not to mention a bit of skin. Could Dakota be worrying over losing the part of Anastasia Steele to someone younger and better looking?
Well, producers aren't likely to recast an Anastasia Steele so Dakota is here to stay. Joining Johnson onscreen as her Christian Grey is "Once Upon a Time's" Jamie Dornan. The British hunk had been eyed for the part a few weeks back since Charlie Hunnam of "Sons of Anarchy" had dropped out from the film.
Luckily, the Calvin Klein hunk had been there to catch the part for Christian Grey. Like the reading with Charlie Hunnam, Dakota Johnson very much enjoyed the scenes with Dornan. Judging from how it went between Jamie and Dakota, the chemistry for the film is one to look forward to.
"Everyone trusts that he'll make an excellent Christian and will do the role justice," says an insider to US Weekly, adding, "His contract is set -- this has the potential to make him a huge star."
Jamie Dornan not only has won the favour of fans of E.L. James novel but of the his lead actress as well.
"Jamie has a really good reputation as someone easy to work with, easy going and is seen as someone who will very appreciative of this role," continues the source, adding, "It's his charm and personality that is winning people over."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" is certainly becoming the film everyone is looking forward to. While some fans might still favour "White Collar's" Matt Bomer, a handful of readers are already pleased with the second choice of Christian Grey.
