After Charlie Hunnam officially dropped out of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film, the British star has been mum about his decision. Finally after a few weeks of silence, Charlie Hunnam opens up about leaving the film and his next chapter in life. The "Pacific Rim" star also gets a bit emotional as he talks about the upcoming end of "Sons of Anarchy."

Early in September, author E.L. James finally made the announcement over Twitter that Charlie Hunnam would be joining the cast as Christian Grey. Starring opposite Charlie as his Anastasia Steele would be Dakota Johnson. While some fans were clearly disappointed with the choices, a handful of readers were happy Charlie got cast. The proof comes in the form of underwear being dropped off at Hunnam's home since the news got out.

Yet, all thanks to such stunts done my most fans, Charlie Hunnam got too "overwhelmed" with the attention. Merely 2 months after the casting announcement was made, Charlie Hunnam dropped out from the film blaming his "immersive TV schedule." A source close to Hunnam claimed that it wasn't his schedule that caused Charlie to drop the part but the part itself instead.

With Charlie gone, producers have been frantically searching for a suitable replacement. As for Charlie, the "Sons of Anarchy" star has, indeed, been busy playing Jax in the series which is coming to an end. How has Charlie been after all the hype?

"I am doing good. I am just really concentrating on work. It's been a really busy time," says Hunnam to E! Online. "I have had some family stuff going on so just trying to stay focused and stay positive and keep trying to do a good job at work and be with my family," he added.

Aside from family keeping the star busy, Hunnam is working out a few more scenes for "Sons of Anarchy" before he moves on to another film with Guillermo Del Toro.

"I am going to go to England and see my people and then I have a film that I am doing with ['Pacific Rim' director] Guillermo [del Toro called 'Crimson Peak']. So I am going to go and do that and concentrate on the final seasons of Sons," explained Charlie to E! News (emphasis in original).

Obviously, parting with "Sons of Anarchy" is going to be quite emotional for the star.

"It's obviously going to be a really emotional time for us," stated Hunnam. "We are like a family and have become very, very close and become dear friends to each other so it's going to be sad and finish up and say goodbye to everyone, but we've got like 13, maybe even a few more, episodes," he added.
