‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ star Dakota Johnson has buttock tattoos, used body double to shoot naked scenes
While all Dakota Johnson fans are expecting to see their favourite star in upcoming film “Fifty Shades Darker,” the actress has made an interesting revelation. Recently, she revealed that her buttocks are covered with tattoos and that’s why she had to use a butt double for the naked scenes, especially for the shots that focused on her buttocks.
“I went through a phase where I loved tattoos, and I loved the feeling of getting tattooed. But now I’ve outgrown them mostly, and [because] I always have to cover them for jobs, God, they’re annoying!,” 26-year-old Johnson told Vogue in an interview.

Johnson said that the tattoo on her rear was not appropriate for her sexually innocent character, Anastasia Steele. However, fans may be secretly wishing that “Fifty Shades Darker” will somehow include Johnson’s rear tattoo so that they can see their favourite celebrity in the nude.
In yet another interview with The New York Times, “Fifty Shades of Grey” cinematographer Seamus McGarvey revealed some explicit details about the sex scenes in the movie. He also confirmed that he used a body double for Johnson to shoot some of the sex scenes, not because Johnson was not willing to do the scenes, but because of her tattoo.
“We did have a butt double for Dakota. I had the pleasure of casting a non-tattooed bottom,” said McGarvey in the interview.
When asked whether cinematographers ask for nudity and then worry about covering it up, McGarvey said that shooting the movie sex scenes was definitely not one of the highlights of his career but it certainly was one of the most surreal scenarios.
“We were protecting the actors. Jamie [Dornan] had a cover over his penis. Dakota [Johnson] had kind of a patch that went over her pubic area, and right round her whole body. We were in the curious situation, in postproduction, of adding [pubic hair],” he added.
