The PlayStation VR component of “Final Fantasy XV” has received mixed views from different people. While it adds a layer of what can be done in “Final Fantasy XV,” the experience doesn’t seem to jive with what has been seen in the base game.

Attack of the Fanboy spotted a new video that showcases another glimpse off the PS VR component at the Japan Expo 2016 event held in France.

In the footage, seen below, it shows the player taking the role of Prompto, while he shoots at a monster. From the looks of I, he really maintains his distance as a fighter. While this is very possible with his weapon, it feels a little bit detached when compared to how hands-on the other three are.

The footage is not a solid preview, as it was taken during the Japan Expo 2016 event. The creator doesn’t focus solely on the screen, so there are times when fans can see other areas of the event.

As far as an extra component is concerned, it does add another mechanic to the way “Final Fantasy XV” can be played. It will also be quite an exclusive mode, since not everyone will have a PlayStation VR to begin with. For those who have preordered their headsets and are likely to get “Final Fantasy XV,” it is a nice little bonus.

Additionally, Hironobu Sakaguchi,, the creator of Final Fantasy, also gave his two cents on the CGI film “Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV.” Speaking at the Bitsummit and as reported by DualShockers, Sakaguchi stated that viewers are in for an even better experience, since the trailers are just a small sneak peek of the overall film.

What’s even more interesting is that the story seems to strengthen the need to limit the game to just Noctis and his four friends, Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto. Sakaguchi stated that he was initially annoyed with the lack of a playable female character. However, it appears that the film presents a richer angle to the story that gives the reason as to why this is so. Without going into details, he stated that players will be able to enjoy the game even more after they have watched the film.

“Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV” will be released come Aug. 19 in the U.S. There’s a good chance for fans to catch it, as the “Final Fantasy XV” game will be out on Sept. 30 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
