Disney-Pixar just launched the latest “Finding Dory” trailer, and if it’s any indication, the movie may go beyond the entertainment factor by conveying an important and socially relevant message.

In the new teaser [watch below], fans are shown a setting that closely resembles SeaWorld, complete with animals such as an octopus, beluga whale and a whale shark, all of which are trying to escape. In a previous interview, the film’s lead star Ellen DeGeneres confirmed that the sequel to “Finding Nemo” touches on fish in captivity. “I think that fish should be in the ocean, which is what this whole sequel is about: rehabilitation and putting them back in the ocean … And we have to protect our oceans,” she told Yahoo! Movies.

DeGeneres, who reprises her role as the forgetful yet adorable tang fish, hopes the movie will generate awareness on animal welfare. According to The Dodo, “Finding Dory” may have taken off from the 2013 documentary “Blackfish,” which sparked criticisms against SeaWorld and its treatment of captive orcas. The negative publicity brought about by the film marred the park’s reputation, and earlier this year, SeaWorld declared its plans to put a stop to orca breeding program.

E! Online reports that the film will mostly take place at the Marine Biology Institute of California, where Dory was born. In the teaser, Dory is seen going on a field trip to the institute, where she suddenly flashes back on her past and her family. Dory cries, “My family! Have to find them! They're...blue with, maybe, yellow.”

She’s also seen approaching a group of blue tang fish in a tank, yelling, "Mom! Dad!" Watching this unfold is Marlin, portrayed by Albert Brooks, who tells his son, “We should just pick two and let’s go.”

The ever-sarcastic and sharp Marlin, voiced by returning star Albert Brooks, half-jokes to his son, "We should just pick two and let's go." Newcomer Hayden Rolence lends his voice to Nemo, originally played by Alexander Gould. Dory’s parents, Jenny and Charlie, are voiced by Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy, respectively.

Other members of the “Finding Dory” cast include Idris Elba (Fluke), Dominic West (Rudder), Kaitlin Olson (Destiny), Ed O’Neill (Hank), Ty Burrell (Bailey). Actors Bob Peterson (Mr. Ray), Bennett Dammann (Squirt) and Stanton (Crush) also return to reprise their roles in the film. Fans should also watch out for Bill Hader and Kate McKinnon, who will also appear in the movie.
