When you think about Fiona Apple as an artist, it is common to think of the word 'crazy.'

Back in 2005, everyone got excited with her album 'Extraordinary Machine.' This time, it is double the anticipation for her latest release, 'The Idler Wheel is Wiser Than The Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do.'

Its feature track called 'Werewolf' sounds better than the first single, 'Every Single Night.' The usual mix of her jangling piano tunes with some similes of her own deprecation and that of another foolish jerk are found without compromising its freshness. Then, there's her ending at a 'minor key' which definitely makes it melancholic.

Overall, the whole album is something one can call fantastic. All of its songs are stripped to the core which can dig deep to any listener's being. It is mainly about the exploration of any person's personal desires and how anyone can tend to be destructive at times, even to our own selves.

It's bizarre as it tackles how much the singer felt during those times that she kept herself away from everyone else. It talks about battling with her own brain, even punishing herself with no mercy as she watches an old flame adore someone else.

The album represents the completeness of an artist as unique as Fiona Apple.
