First Pfeiffer, Now Kidman: Zac Efron is a Cougar Magnet
After partnering with Michelle Pfeiffer in the new film "New Year's Eve," Zac Efron might be biting off more than he can chew, but he does chew it well with a tinge of bravado.
After getting intimately close to the "Dangerous Minds" star, the 24-year old is getting a shot at another Hollywood heavyweight: The former "High School Musical" star gets close to Nicole Kidman in the Lee Daniels-helmed thriller, "The Paperboy."
Efron first broke out when he starred as Troy Bolton, the lead role in the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical" opposite Vanessa Hudgens.
It was this movie that gained him the attention of tweens around the globe as an actor and a singer. He went on to roles such as the Link Larkin in "Hairspray," "High School Musical" sequels and "17 Again," where he played an adult who got turned into a 17-year-old youth.
"Of locking lips with Pfeiffer, he smiled, 'I'll just say I am very happy. It was a lot of takes.'" reports Marc Malkin on his E! Online article regarding the highly intimate scene Efron had with the still stunning 53-year-old blonde bombshell.

Pfeiffer gained the attention of mainstream audiences with her stellar performance in the 1983 classic, "Scarface." She has since starred in countless movies. After a four-year hiatus, she returned to the big screen with two blockbuster movies: "Hairspray" and "Stardust," where she took on villainous roles.
But what about now?
"'It's fun. We get to really have some fun," said Efron when asked about the relationship of Kidman's and his characters.
He was extra closed-mouth when asked about the up-and-coming thriller, although he did admit that the relationship of the characters might be a bit complicated.
Kidman debuted as an actor in the Aussie holiday favorite "Bush Christmas" in 1983, and only got a breakthrough role in the 1989 thriller "Dead Calm." Among numerous roles, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for portraying Virginia Woolf in the 2003 drama, "The Hours."
Whether with his career or with the ladies, Zac Efron is definitely lucky.
