“Fitzy and Wippa” want Donald Trump to “go go.” Nova 96.9 radio hosts Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli have slammed the US presidential candidate in a parody video to the catchy tune of Wham!’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.”

Together with the whole team, Fitzy and Wippa sang their hearts out while dressed as George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley in the music video. If there’s one thing the video is clear about, it’s that they don’t want people to vote for Trump.

“He intimidates, he manipulates, he just regurgitates,” the duo sings in the video, calling Trump a slew of insults, including a “pig, misogynist guy.”

“Donald Trump, you have to go go. You’re a bigot, racist and homophobe
Donald Trump, do not vote vote. He pays less tax than the whole of Dubai
Donald Trump, do not vote vote. Think of the next generation, YOLO.
Donald Trump, he has to go go, and we’ll be dancing tonight.”

They also targeted the Republican nominee’s physical appearance, likening his skin tone to Cheetos, his hands to a baby’s, and his hair to something that’s been attacked by “The Revenant” bear. Trump’s wife Melania also didn’t escape the radio hosts’ scathing attack. They said Trump should listen to the 46-year-old former model because “at least she makes sense, even though it’s been plagiarised.”

The whole parody may look like just a fun joke, but Fitzgerald said there’s a serious tone behind it.

“Even though we like to have a joke, there’s a serious message in the video – and even on out t-shirts – ‘Choose common sense.’ You just hope people choose common sense and he doesn’t go all the way,” he told news.com.au.

As Australians, the radio hosts cannot participate in the US election, but they hope that they could help the Americans stir in what they think is the right direction.

“A lot of people have been watching [Trump’s presidential bid] going, ‘nah, nah, this won’t happen’ – but as the election got closer, we just felt we had to do something and get involved,” Fitzgerald explained.

Following his third and last presidential debate against Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, Trump said he would accept the results of the election... if he won. His pronouncement has been slammed even by his fellow Republicans, who urged him to respect their election system.

In contrast, former US President George H.W. Bush proved to be a gracious loser. In June, Clinton has posted a photo of Bush’s handwritten letter to her husband, Bill Clinton, when the elder Republican lost out to his younger Democratic rival in the 1993 election.

“Your success is our country’s success. I am rooting hard for you. Good luck,” Bush ended his letter. (Read: George H.W. Bush’s letter to Bill Clinton in 1993 shows Donald Trump how to lose gracefully)
