While most fans of “The Flash” can barely contain themselves in excitement for what a Flashpoint Paradox centred storyline has to bring, along with the introduction of a host of exciting new villains, it appears that there is even more to just that.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Flash” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.

A deleted scene revealed on the Blu-ray version of season 2 focuses on Barry Allen’s guilt. When the second season began, Barry was in a secluded place as he had earlier pushed his friends away as a direct result of the devastating events that took place in the battle with the Reverse-Flash. In the deleted scene , Joe comes to talk to Barry, who reveals how guilty he feels about losing both Eddie and Ronnie.

On another angle, a report by Screenrant reveals that power will be a theme in season 3. With Barry staying longer than he should in the alternate universe, the more likely he would forget how it really is in the actual world . Viewers are yet to see what is to become of Barry when he returns to Central City since, previously, he had been powerless -- and at one point egotistical and impulsive. The power struggle can be expected to continue all throughout the third season.

Andrew Kreisberg addressed how Barry will fit his powers into a new reality where things are twisted. He says that “One of the themes of this season is what does it mean to have power, what do you do with that power and is power ultimately corrupting?”

Kreisberg’s use of the word corrupting is quite notable. If it was meant to refer to Barry, viewers might see how the typical boy next door struggles with power and where and how to use the same. It could also refer to the two big bads, Savitar and Alchemy, and to their origins as how they became who they are and how they dealt with such amount of power.

Season 3 of “The Flash” will air on Tuesday October 4, 2016 on the CW. It also airs on Fox8 in Australia.
