Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Flash” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.
“Equipped with the tachyon device, Barry (Grant Gustin) believes he is fast enough to stop Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) and wants to open the breaches to catch him. Harry (Tom Cavanagh) strongly advises against that plan, but after Barry Convinces him, Harry reveals that Cisco (Carlos Valdes) has the power to re-open the breach. Meanwhile, Hunter Zoloman’s (Teddy Sears) painful story on Earth-2 is revealed,” stated the episode synopsis.
Carter Matt says that the episode will most likely showcase a giant battle between The Flash and Zoom. Fans may also get more details on Hunter Zoloman’s background and identity, and why he turned into one of the most disturbed and dangerous speedsters on Earth. A new image hinted that the team will be dealing with a new threat at S.T.A.R. Labs. The group were featured pointing their guns at someone. Is the group aiming at Zoom or a new villain?
There may be a new meta-human who may have entered Earth-1 before the breach was closed. The enemy may be Zoom himself, although it may not be the right move for him to jump back to Earth-1. Also, guns cannot hurt Zoom, which gives the possibility that they are dealing with a new villain. There are also rumours that Killer Frost is still alive and made the jump.
In the promo video, Barry was featured saying that he is fast enough to defeat Zoom. However, his eyes turned black and he claimed that the darkness cannot be contained.
In other “The Flash” news, TVLine reveals that Katie Cassidy of “Arrow” will guest star in the penultimate episode on May 17, to play the Earth-2 version of Laurel Lance. Laurel is the Black Siren in the parallel world. In the comics, she was a member of the Justice Society and mother of Dinah Laurel Lance. “Arrow” executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed Cassidy’s appearance soon.
