"The Flash" airs on the CW every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.
Viewers might have already been pleased when DC and the CW brought together the Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and the entire team from “Legends of Tomorrow” in a four-way crossover. Just when things went epic, fans have to wait and see what the producers have planned for next year.
Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Flash” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens before the next episode airs.
In the earlier Invasion crossover, practically all of the CW’s DC superheroes teamed up to battle the Dominators. While many were pleased to see their favourite TV superheroes battle it out together, some were also frustrated that it was not actually a four-way crossover. The plot did not actually take place across all four shows. The action was mainly focused on “The Flash,” “Arrow,” and “Legends of Tomorrow,” making it a four-way crossover that took place on three shows.
Fortunately, the producers paid close attention to fan reactions and they are already in the process of figuring out how to deliver it better next time. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg reveals that in the upcoming year, they are planning to do a “true four-way crossover.” He also adds that it is great how the crew at the CW picked up early, which allows them to start building the framework for the next season.
Kreisberg also explains that the shows have been continuing to film other episodes while shooting crossovers, writes Entertainment Weekly. One of the biggest things that they have learned from two years ago was building in dark days. The hardest factor in executing crossovers would be the actors’ schedules because their shows keep going on. This only means that fans are about to get the real crossover that they have been waiting for.
In the meantime, “The Flash” and “Supergirl” have something exciting planned. This involves a musical crossover that will mainly take place on the plot of “The Flash.” Kreisberg reveals that he wanted more characters to participate in the musical because he knows that some other actors have great voices. However, their schedules just would not allow a bigger ensemble.
“The Flash” airs every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on the CW. It also airs on Fox8 in Australia.
