It is very interesting to know what goes on in one’s favourite TV characters’ lives when they are not on screen. A new promo for the return of “The Flash” on TV has been released and it seems to answer a question some fans want to know regarding Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris’s (Candice Patton) sex life.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “The Flash” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.

In the events leading to the mid-season finale, viewers saw Barry present Iris with an apartment that they would have all to themselves. Generally, audiences received that as a romantic gesture, but for those who want to dig deeper, they found it a little too fast for a couple that had just dated; after all, it’s The Flash that is being talked about here.

TV Line looks deeper into this detail and even asked showrunner Aaron Helbing if Barry’s big Christmas present was meant to point out to something more intimate. That is, if the couple had already consummated their romance when they are not on-screen. Helbing replied that such detail is “open to anybody’s interpretation” and that they are two consenting adults, so what happens when nobody is looking remains to be guessed by anyone interested.

The main thrust of the recent teaser shows that Barry will not be keeping the truth about Iris’ grim fate from her for too long. The teaser shows Barry revealing the truth to Iris, who, of course, will appear devastated from this revelation. However, Barry has the power and a way to meddle with the future and what exactly he will do remains to be seen.

Barry had messed with the timeline before to alter something that happened in the past. While he has the power, he sometimes gets swayed, especially by people that he loves. What he decides to do will be revealed when the show returns.

The next episode of “The Flash” will air on Tuesday, January 24, 2017at 8 p.m. on The CW. In Australia, the show airs on FOX.
