Forbes' Highest Paid Musicians of 2012: From Taylor Swift to Katy Perry [PHOTOS]
2012 is almost at its end which of course means a whole lot of year ender lists. The "Least Influential People of 2012" to "Bing's Most Searched of 2012" have been the latest list releases of the month. Forbes has now come up with the much awaited list of the year, "The Highest Paid Musicians." For one, Taylor Swift makes it on to the list along with many others.
Much thanks to the largest selling headphones, Beats by Dre, Dr. Dre tops the list for "Forbes Highest Paid Musicians of 2012." The rapper leads the pack with whopping $110 million earnings. In at number two is the founding member of Pink Floyd, Roger Waters with over $88 million in earnings. Of course, Elton John still manages to make it to number three on the list with accumulated earnings of $80 million.
Irish rockers, U2 hit up number four with $78 million and are closely followed by the British band, Take That, at number five with $69 million. Another musical veteran who made it to the list is Bon Jovi with $60 million earnings in at number six.
It's not all testosterone on the list because Britney Spears managed to make it to the number seven spot with accumulated earnings of $58 million. Country crooner, Taylor Swift ties at eighth place with Sir Paul McCartney each with $57 million in earnings.
Despite his age, Justin Bieber is the youngest on the list at number ten tied with Toby Keith. Both musicians took home an incredible amount of $55 million.
Other musicians who also made it to the list include Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, Diddy and Katy Perry. The full list of "Forbes Highest Paid Musicians of 2012" may be found here.
This year has proven to be well paid off work for musicians such as Taylor Swift and Britney Spears. Katy Perry, too, despite having suffered a bad divorce at the start of the year managed to make a complete turn-around with her earnings. Beyonce who also took a break this year due to Baby Blue still managed to make it to the list which proves nothing beats being the Queen B.
Hopefully, other musicians in the Hollywood biz such as Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and One Direction make it to next year's list.
