Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers deems that "belief" and "confidence" will determine his squad's performance against Fulham on Wednesday.

Morale is high at Anfield after the Reds dominated now second-placed Arsenal, finding the back of the net five times, whilst allowing just a single late goal from the opposition.

Rodgers knows the importance of each and every point at this juncture of the season, as the race to the title between the top four or five clubs is as close as it can get.

"Every game is critical for us, whether it's the top team or the bottom team," Rodgers told Bay TV.

"If you saw Fulham [against Manchester United], they've got some very good players and they showed great resilience. I know some of the players there and they're brilliant professionals."

"We understand that it will be a difficult game, because there are no easy games and obviously away from home in the Premier League it is difficult."

"But we have a belief and a confidence in our play and hopefully we can take that into Wednesdays game and get another three points."

While a win for Liverpool, who are sitting on fourth spot, will not improve their position on the Premier League Table, it will, nevertheless, keep them within striking distance from the eventual leaders after matchweek 26.
