Samsung unveiled its biggest and coolest smartphone yet. The South Korea-based company introduced the Galaxy Note 2 in a media event the other day impressing the tech world.
At the Samsung's Unpacked event, the company narrated the features of the device. From its new 5.5-inch display, to its quad-core processor, to its 2GB of RAM and finally to its 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP camera, the Galaxy Note 2 features some tantalizing specifications.
Based on the aforementioned features, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the flagship phone of the company kicking the Galaxy S3 out of its throne.
Screen Display
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 wows critics with its massive screen with its 5.5-inch screen size. It belittled the Galaxy S3's 4.8-inch screen.
Processor
The new Galaxy Note 2 has a quad-core processor clocked with 1.6GHz compared to the Galaxy S3's quad core processor clocked with 1.4 GHz.
Operating System
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will run with the latest Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean. Introduced by Google before, this new mobile operating software has vast improvements compared to its predecessor. The Samsung Galaxy S3, on the other hand, was equipped with the previous Android's Ice Cream Sandwich.
Battery
One of the common complaints on the original Galaxy Note is its battery life. Samsung heard the pleas of the users and packed the new device with a massive 3100mAh slim battery, which offers longest standby time yet.
Camera
The two devices sport 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP camera on the front.
Design
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is available in two amazing colors: marble white and titanium grey. The Galaxy S3, on the other hand, is available in six different colors.
Portability
Both devices are portable. However, if you want a pocket size phone, Samsung Galaxy S3 is the device for you. However, if the phablet look fits you, then the Galaxy Note 2 is the gadget to buy.
