Galaxy Note 3 on Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 Geared for Aussie, U.S., UK & Key Markets Release; 8-Core Exynos Flavour Tipped for China, Emerging Markets – Report
On release date, the Galaxy Note 3 is flooding the global markets in three variants with the quad-core Snapdragon 800 build set to spread in Australia, the United States and other key markets, a new report said.
The octa-core Exynos 5420 model, according to SamMobile, is initially reserved for the emerging markets with China headlining the pack. Yet generally, the Note 3 distribution is mixed as Exynos is also set to reach major European shores like the United Kingdom, France and Germany.
The likelihood is also high that all three or at least two Note 3 editions will be retailed in a given destination and China is the best example of such scenario. Per the SamMobile report, Chinese consumers are confirmed to get the Exynos kind with dual-SIM capability while UK buyers will enjoy both the Snapdragon and Exynos powerhouses.
While the country is not listed as recipient of the other two models, it is likely that Samsung will also bring over to the sprawling nation all the possible Note 3 options, which according to analysts is a move then intends to maximise the phablet's visibility in a market that counts hundreds of millions as potential buyers.
"If your country gets both processor variants, it is a decision based on the marketing plan of Samsung," said the SamMobile report.
The Note 3 will also come with LTE, 4G and 3G connectivity, again the deployment of which will depend on market location. It is almost certain that gadget buyers in Australia and America will get a taste of the phablet with superfast wireless broadband access as LTE and 4G networks are already in wide-use on both countries.
All three models - SM-N900, SM-N9005 and SM-N9002 - share the same amount of RAM on-board, which is a 3GB LPDDR3, with the first and third bearing the same Exynos CPU and ARM Mali-T628 MP6.
The SM-N9005 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon, as mentioned, which is Samsung paired with an Adreno 330 graphic engine. Note too that it is the SM-N9002 that has a dual-SIM slot, which Chinese buyers will exclusive access on release date the same case with dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy S4.
Earlier reports have indicated that Samsung will issue a virtual GS4 clone in the Note 3 though with a 5.7-inch, the signature S-Pen digitizer, a bigger battery and likely Jelly Bean 4.3 that will come pre-installed.
The Galaxy Note 3 is set to be unpacked Sept 4 in the 2013 IFA event scheduled in Berlin as analysts look forward to the actual release date to happen by late September or early October.
