Joe Naufahu, who plays the Dothraki leader Khal Moro, shared how Clarke recently pulled a prank on him while filming.
During an exclusive interview with ET Online, Naufahu described Clarke as a bit of a tomboy. She got along with the boys very well on the set and was very down-to-earth. She was also funny and goofy and not a prima donna at all as others would expect.
Naufahu continued that they would do a lot of things to pass time on set, like play cards, listen to music and play Pictionary. They also tend to play small pranks on each other. If someone falls asleep on set, the others would do things to that person while sleeping.
The actor shared that Emilia did a prank on him while he was sleeping once. She smothered dessert all over his face, beard and Dothraki outfit. He woke up at 3 a.m. covered in caramel fudge. He said that he never pranked Emilia, although he believes he should have.
“It’s every guy’s dream to be covered in caramel fudge by Emilia, right? I was living my fantasy. I shouldn’t have woken up,” Naufahu said.
Khal Moro also described his relationship with Daenerys. He explained that the two characters have some tension but a lot of respect for each other. The Dothraki leader thinks that if he cannot have Daenerys because she is the wife of a dead Khal, no one else can. In Season 6 Episode 2, Daenerys was supposed to spend the rest of her days in Vaes Dothrak, together with the widows of other dead Khals.
Naufahu said that Khal Moro is very different from Khal Drogo, Daenerys’ husband. He was a brute like Drogo, although he follows the traditions more strictly. He has a sense of humor and a bit lighthearted, compared to other Khals. He teased that Daenerys will not be very charming towards Khal Moro. She still has a huge army and dragons and the Dothraki will have to determine whether they can handle her for long.
“Game of Thrones” will air next on May 8 on HBO. It airs on Foxtel in Australia.
