‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 spoilers: What to expect at the Kingsmoot and more
An important scene of the King’s Moot is featured in episode 5 of “Game of Thrones” Season 6, as shown in the trailer. The Ironborn are going to choose their next king and there will be face-off between two major characters at the event. A leaked report from the production set revealed what happens in this scene.
[Spoiler alert]
The trailer of the next episode of the TV series shows Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) declaring her claim to the Salt Throne. All the Ironborn will gather at the edge of a small hill to choose their next king. Theon (Alfie Allen) is actually the heir to the Iron Islands, but even he knows that that may not be acceptable to the people after what Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) did to him, both physically as well as mentally.
Yara has proven herself to be a fierce warrior and a strong leader. Theon pledged his support to his sister in the previous episode. But, the support of the heir will not be sufficient for Yara to take the throne. Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk ) will return in the next episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 6.
It was Euron who killed his brother Balon (Patrick Malahide), to be able to become king himself. A leaked report from the production set previously revealed that Euron will be there at the Kingsmoot to stake his claim.
Some of the fans spotted Asbæk filming his scene in Northern Ireland. The scene involved extras shouting “Euron, Euron.” Will Yara manage to beat her uncle and take the Salt Throne? Or will Euron finally get what he has been waiting for.
Some of the other notable scenes in the next episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 are Sansa (Sophie Turner) confronting Little Finger (Aidan Gillen) about her marriage to Ramsay and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) meeting a new Priestess of the Lord of the Light. According to the official synopsis of the episode Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) will learn a “great deal,” Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) will be given a chance to prove herself and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) will go on a mission.
