'Game of Thrones' Season 6: What to expect in the premiere episode; New scene released
“Game of Thrones” Season 6 is expected to reveal the fate of Jon Snow. Here is a look at what to expect from the premiere episode of what is the most highly anticipated season of the TV series so far.
In The North:
Jon Snow is dead (Kit Harington) and there is no changing this fact. The premiere episode will show his dead body and the trailers tease that Alliser Thorne (Owen Teale) and some of the other members of the Night’s Watch are interested in his body. Davos (Liam Cunningham) and a few others will try and protect the dead body.
Just because Jon Snow is dead, it doesn’t mean that he can’t be resurrected. However, the resurrection is not expected to happen in the premiere episode itself.
Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Theon (Alfie Allen) will attempt to escape from Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). They don’t get very far before meeting their first hurdle.
In Essos
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) will be taken to Vaes Dothrak. As a Khaleesi with a dead husband, Daenerys is expected to follow the rules of the Dothraki and live out her remaining days at Vaes Dothrak, as per the rules of the tribe. “Game of Thrones” Season 6 will introduce a new character named Khal Moro (Joseph Naufahu), a fiercely loyal man and follower of rules, who will take the Khaleesi to her new home.
In Braavos, Arya (Maisie Williams) will train to become an assassin. But first, she will have to learn to deal with her blindness.
In King’s Landing
Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) will return with the body of his daughter. He will have an emotional conversation with his sister Cersei (Lena Headey), recalling the time they saw their mother’s dead body.
Coster-Waldau recently appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and teased an extended scene from “Game of Thrones” Season 6. In the video, posted on YouTube, Jamie talks to High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) about what he did to Cersei. When the High Sparrow tells him that she atoned for her sins, he asks about his sins that include killing a king he was sworn to protect.
