[Spoiler alert]
According to a report by Watchers on the Wall, Jeremy Podeswa has been busy filming scenes of the finale episode at Itálica, Spain. This doesn’t mean filming will wrap soon, as the production team does not film episodes in order.
The big scene in the finale episode will see the assembly of all the major characters in the realm. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), Cersei (Lena Headey), Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Varys (Conleth Hill), Brienne (Gwendoline Christie), Davos (Liam Cunningham), Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), Theon (Alfie Allen), Bronn (Jerome Flynn), Sandor ‘The Hound’ Clegane (Rory McCann), Jorah (Iain Glen), Euron (Pilou Asbæk), Qyburn (Anton Lesser), Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) and Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman) are featured in this scene.
It is not clear if “Game of Thrones” Season 7 ending will be about a truce between the two warring sides. The two sides, however, come prepared for battle in this scene. Leaked pictures from the set show many Lannister armours and helmets that will be used for this scene.
The scene is said to take place near the Dragonpit in King’s Landing. As the name suggests, this building was previously used by the Targaryens to keep their dragons. The two sides may have to come to an understanding in the face of an invasion from the White Walkers in the north.
The major scene in the finale could lead to some ugly confrontations. Readers should note that Cersei still believes Tyrion killed her son, unless the truth is revealed to her before this meeting, A lot of the other characters have also not met each other for a long time. The reaction of Sandor to his brother could also be interesting to see.
While most of the characters are present for this scene in “Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale, Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan) seems to be missing. Will the character die in the next season?
