Date for “Game of Thrones” season 7 premiere has not been announced yet, but in the meantime, HBO has good news for GoT fans. HBO Global Licensing has announced a partnership with California-based wine company Vintage Wine Estates to release a collection of GoT-themed wine called Seven Kingdoms wine.

Wine is the centrepiece of several "Game of Thrones" characters, particularly Tyrion Lannister, whose wisdom grows deeper and wit sharpens when he sips wine.

“Given the prominent role of wine on 'Game of Thrones' and our previous success in the beverage category, an officially licensed wine for the show feels like a natural extension for our fans,” said Jeff Peters, HBO’s director of licensing and retail. “Game of Thrones wines most definitely will add to the fan experience as the battle for the Iron Throne heats up heading into the final seasons.”

Based on the show and its characters, Seven Kingdoms wine will be initially launched in three varieties -- a chardonnay, a proprietary red blend and a reserve-style cabernet sauvignon. The price of the wine bottles will range between US$20 and US$40 (AU$27 and AU$54). The 750-millimetre bottle of chardonnay and red blend will be priced at US$20, while a bottle of cabernet sauvignon of same quantity will cost US$40. Seven Kingdoms wines will be decked out with dragons, lions and stags. The wine bottles will be released in March 2017.

Before "Game of Thrones" wine, the show also has beer in its name. The "Game of Thrones" beer is produced by New York-based Brewery Cooperstown, which specialises in Belgian-style brews.

Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" season 7 premiere is scheduled for June 2017.
