This week, news and rumors have been brewing about a potential third installment for a well-loved and much-acclaimed Warner Bros game, the delay of yet another THQ game slated since early 2012, and the awaited release of Battlefield 4, which has yet to be revealed.

Warner Bros gearing for 3rd Batman game?

OfficialPlayStationMagazine reports that Warner Bros, the name behind the Batman Arkham franchise, has recently participated in an investor call that dropped word on the potential release date of the third game.

"And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013."

iDigital Times adds that there seems to be some Facebook movement pointing in that direction, as the Arkham City Facebook has been changed to become "Batman: Arkham."

Whether this is an indication to prep for the third installment or not, the follow-up to Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City will surely be something worthy of the reputation that the two previous installments had already established.

Battlefield 4: March 2013 launch event by EA

Admittedly, there's still no word on exactly when Battlefield 4 will be released. However, TrustedReviews reports that EA, the developer behind the game, is preparing for a launch event on March 26, and it's likely that the confirmation for the release date will also be unveiled.

News of a potential exclusivity has also been brewing, and TrustedReviews reports that a source has leaked that EA may be in the works for a partnership with Xbox. What this means for PS3 gaming and the upcoming potential of PS4 remains to be seen.

South Park: The Stick of Truth still delayed

March 5 came and went, and still there was no sign of South Park: The Stick of Truth's latest and definitive release date.

Since last year, the THQ game has been delayed, and it seems that, according to GameInformer, it's looking at an early 2004 fiscal release. This means a release anytime between April 2013 and March 2014.

"I firmly believed releasing our fourth quarter titles without extra time for polish in the current environment would lead to underperformance that could, in turn, lead to future additional capital shortfalls," said THQ president Jason Rubin in a statement about the delay to GameInformer. "We must follow the course that generates the highest quality games, and will establish THQ as a mark of quality for the consumer."

Here's to hoping that other THQ games like Company of Heroes 2 and Metro" Last Light release dates, which are both set for an April and May release respectively, will be met this time.
